Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC):


Dikhowmukh College's Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established on January 10, 2006. It has been committed to upholding excellence across a range of areas since its inception in order to advance the institution as a whole. Numerous quality assurance procedures are institutionalized with the help of the IQAC, which also carries them out as planned. Some of these tactics at the start of the second cycle period include computerizing academic and administrative tasks, IQAC hold appraisal meetings, spearhead programs to raise public awareness of various socially relevant issues, meaningful and area specific extension and outreach initiatives, and so on.

The IQAC has developed a number of tools to assess the efficiency of the teaching-learning process. Some of the infrastructural resources offered by the institution to guarantee quality in the teaching-learning process include adequate classrooms, high-quality tools and equipment, the requirement to use ICT in classroom instruction, adequate books in the library, an adequate number of computers in the college, and internet access. In its Appraisal Meetings, the IQAC evaluates the works done by various committees and makes adjustments, if necessary, to further improve the efficacy of teaching and learning.)
The college continues to strive for excellence throughout the 2nd cycle of accreditation by accepting and effectively putting into practice some quality initiatives from the IQAC. Here are some noteworthy efforts that pertain to both the academic and administrative fields.


• Contrives, plans and finds strategies for virtually all the teaching , learning evaluation and other quality initiatives.
• Plans, overseers , collaborates , executes and even reviews the college’s many Extension Programmes and Activities
• Sees to it in consultation with the other committees and cells that the pre eminently student centric ecosystem thrives well.
• Provision of adequate number of classrooms with ICT facilities
• Quality instruments and equipment in the college
• Substantial use of ICT in classroom teaching
• Adequate number of books in the library
• Adequate number of computers in the college with internet facility
• Conduct of class tests, unit tests etc. regularly
• Conduct of Faculty Development Programmes and training programmes for the teachers and the non-teaching staff of the district at least once in a year
• Compulsory tutorial classes and special classes for the slow learners
• Maintenance of teachers’ diary which are checked by the Principal periodically
• Organizing various seminars and workshops in national and state level with sponsorship from agencies like UGC, ICSSR etc.

• Decentralization of power by appointing teachers, members from the non-teaching staff, parents, members from the local society , students , alumni etc. in various decision-making bodies.
• Timely conduct of audit of various accounts of the institution
• Smooth conduct of all the examinations and timely declaration of the results of the internal examinations
• Preparation and submission of Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to NAAC as per NAAC guidelines.
